Kyle Hammer grabs World Short Track Championship victory at The Dirt Track at Charlotte

Kyle Hammer made the long haul to The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Thursday afternoon to compete in the DIRTcar UMP Modified portion of the World Short Track Championship.

Starting on the front-row of the championship feature, Hammer led all 15-laps to take home a $600 payday over Michael Leach and Will Krup.

Recording a runner-up finish in a heat race on Friday, Kyle earned a spot in Saturday's $4,000-to-win finale where he would score a podium finish in third. He trailed Kyle Strickler and Will Krup while Jonathan Taylor and Charlie Mefford completed the Top-5.
