Podium finish in Lucas Oil prelim at Port Royal

Best Performance Motorsports and Tyler Erb followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) Thursday afternoon for the three-day Rumble by the River. With 43 cars entered for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Tyler’s third-place finish in his heat positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the show. On Friday night, Erb followed up the fifth-fastest time in his group with a third-place finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Tyler charged forward seven spots to come in third. He trailed Tim McCreadie and Jimmy Owens to the checkers with Shane Clanton and Hudson O’Neal rounding out the Top-5.

Mother Nature won Saturday's $30,000-to-win Rumble by the River finale.

Tyler is currently sixth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
