18th-place finish in Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway

With Mother Nature shifting Thursday’s opener to Friday afternoon, Tyler Erb was one of 58 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) to kick off his Memorial Day weekend with the Cowboy Classic. Following a sixth-place finish in his heat, Erb fell short of transferring into the $6,000-to-win preliminary feature with a fourth-place finish in his B-Main.

Later Friday evening for the Tribute to Don & Billie Gibson, Tyler came in fifth in his heat, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place second or better, Erb logged a fourth-place outing.

After coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his B-Main on Saturday with a third-place finish, Erb was granted a provisional into the $30,000-to-win Show-Me 100. Rolling off 25th, Tyler passed seven cars in the 100-lapper to register an 18th-place outing. (Heath Lawson photo)

On Monday, Tyler visited 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the Scott Sexton Memorial but was an early retiree from the $10,053-to-win Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals feature on lap 17.

Tyler is ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
