Podium finish in Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway
Friday saw Best Performance Motorsports pilot Tyler Erb return to action with the two-day Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.).
Against a stacked field of 45 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries, Erb raced into the redraw with a runner-up showing in his heat race. With a $10,000 payday up for grabs in the opener, Tyler muscled forward four spots to register a fourth-place finish.
On Saturday, Tyler’s third-place finish in his heat race positioned him on the fifth row for the $20,000-to-win Illini 100. Finishing one spot better than Friday, Erb climbed seven spots to cap off the weekend with a third-place finish. He followed Bobby Pierce and Nick Hoffman across the line in the 60-lap finale.
