Andrew Kosiski grabs first win of 2025 with Malvern Bank West at Adams County Speedway
Rallen Zeitner Memorial Up Next
LAVISTA, Neb. (07/02/25) – Andrew Kosiski had extra reason to celebrate over the weekend, capturing a sentimental victory in the Gail & Karen Hampel Memorial at Adams County Speedway—coinciding with his daughter’s second birthday.
Driving his Kosiski Auto Parts / Al Belt Custom Homes No. 53 Longhorn Chassis Late Model, Kosiski powered past Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Kyle Berck early in Saturday’s Malvern Bank East Series feature and never looked back. The win marked his first of the season and the fourth of his career on the tour.
“This is huge tonight. (It's) my youngest daughter’s first race and my oldest daughter’s second birthday is today. We lost a pioneer in racing in Mike Daly (Sr.) last week and was humongous, people don’t understand what that means to us,” Kosiski said. “It’s the Gail and Karen Hampel Memorial, man. There’s not many memorials you want to win, cause you don’t know everybody. But that’s family right there man, I’m so happy to win this race.”
After lingering rain showers washed out Thursday’s scheduled action, Kosiski opened his weekend on Friday at Park Jefferson Speedway (S.D.) with a Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series event. He advanced into the $2,500-to-win feature with a runner-up finish in his heat, but a lap-12 retirement relegated him to a 24th-place finish.
Saturday marked a strong rebound for Kosiski, who invaded Adams County Speedway for the Malvern Bank West Series-sanctioned Gail & Karen Hampel Memorial. He posted the fastest overall time in qualifying and followed it up with a fourth-place finish in his heat, earning the pole position for the main event.
Kosiski overtook Kyle Berck on lap three and led the remaining 22 circuits of the 25-lap main event to score the $3,000 payday. Berck finished second, with Dallon Murty rounding out the podium in third.

Andrew Kosiski will spend the Independence Day weekend with friends and family before returning to competition on Saturday, July 12, when the Malvern Bank East and West Series collide at Shelby County Speedway.
The night’s marquee event—the Rallen Zeitner Memorial—will award $10,076 to the winner.
