Tucker Scores Season-Opening Win at Sumter Speedway to Start TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour Campaign
Inside Line Promotions – SUMTER, S.C. (April 28, 2019) – Nick Tucker captured the season-opening race for the TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour on Saturday evening at Sumter Speedway during the 4th annual Spring Fling.
Tucker and Brandon McClain were the heat race winners and drew the front row for the RaceSaver 305ci winged sprint car series main event. When the checkered flag was waved it was Tucker who was victorious.
Connor Leoffler earned a runner-up result with Jake Karklin placing third. Defending series champion Steve Surniak finished fourth and John Karklin rounded out the top five.
Defending Rookie of the Year Sean Vardell garnered a sixth-place result with Mike Jackson powering from 12th to seventh. Frank Peters was eighth with George Blaney ninth. Ben McCall was the Hard Charger for passing the most cars as he drove from last – 16th – to a 10th-place result.
The next race for the TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour is May 11 at Travelers Rest Speedway in Travelers Rest, S.C.
