Toyota Knoxville 50 Brings Hill to Tazewell Speedway

For the second half of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Reopening Tour, Vic Hill headed to East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) on Monday afternoon for the Geico East Bay Nationals. Coming three spots shy of a transfer position in his heat with a seventh place finish, Hill transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Needing to place third or better, Vic logged an eighth place outing.

The following night, Vic followed up the 14th fastest time in his group with a seventh place finish in his heat. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Hill logged a fifth place outing.

After scratching from Wednesday night’s finale, Hill returned to action on Saturday evening at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the event co-sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Late Model Series and the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals. Drawing 29 cars for the Toyota Knoxville 50, Vic came in ninth fastest in his group before grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat.
