Motor issues hamper Taylor's Dakota Mod Tour showing
For the fourth stop of the Dakota Classic Modified Tour, Jeff Taylor visited Williston Basin Speedway (Williston, N.D.) on Monday afternoon piloting his Heat Transfer Solutions No. 5 IMCA Modified entry. After passing six cars in his heat race to place third, Jeff got in a tangle in the feature that sent him spinning. He salvaged an 18th place outing in the 30-lap affair.
On Tuesday afternoon at Southwest Speedway (Dickinson, N.D.), Taylor jumped up three spots in his heat to record a sixth place finish. Rolling off fifth in his B-Main, Jeff ran into more motor issues that sidelined him for the remainder of the night.
After replacing his third motor of the tour on Wednesday, Jeff headed to Dacotah Speedway (Mandan, N.D.) for the Dakota Classic Modified Tour finale. With his draw setting him on the tail of his heat race, Taylor salvaged an eighth place finish, transferring him into the B-Main. After getting caught behind a wreck while battling for a transfer spot, Jeff limped across the finish line in ninth.
