Taylor stands on Dakota Mod Tour podium at Nodak
Remaining at Nodak Speedway (Minot, N.D.) on Monday evening for the third round of the 32nd annual Dakota Classic Modified Tour, Taylor outdueled polesitter Justin Bieber in his heat race to pick up the 10-lap victory. Holding his spot for all 30 laps of the feature, Jeff posted a third-place finish, which came behind Kollin Hibdon and Kyle Brown. Troy Cordes and Ethan Dotson completed the Top-5 finishers. On Tuesday afternoon at Williston Basin Speedway (Williston, N.D.), Jeff earned a provisional into the main event but was an early retiree with three laps remaining.
In a field of 45 IMCA Modifieds on Wednesday at Southwest Speedway (Dickinson, N.D.), Taylor came in eighth in his heat race before passing six cars in his B-Main to register a runner-up finish. Starting the main event in 19th, Jeff clawed forward five spots to finish 14th.
For the Dakota Mod Tour finale on Thursday evening at Dacotah Speedway (Mandan, N.D.), Jeff secured his spot into the feature with a second-place finish in his B-Main after failing to qualify via his heat. With $2,000 on the line, Taylor improved two spots in the 30-lapper to place 17th.
Jeff finished in ninth in the Dakota Classic Modified Tour point standings.
