Taylor enjoys two-win Fourth of July weekend
Jeff Taylor enjoyed a successful Independence Day weekend of racing in his Industrial Electric No. 5 Spur Bar/ Wehrs Machine/ Skyway Auto Group/ Fox Shocks Shaw Race Cars IMCA Modified.
The driver, known as “The Animal,” visited Victory Lane at both Batesville Motor Speedway and Legit Speedway.
“This car was on point all weekend. We hit the ground running at Batesville and carried the momentum to West Plains on Saturday night,” Taylor said. “We’re getting geared up for the Dakota Classic Modified Tour now, and we’ve got a lot of confidence heading into that deal, so hopefully we can turn it into some wins. A special thanks goes out to all of my sponsors along with the great support from Bob Holmes, Travis, and Caleb.”
Behind the wheel the Industrial Electric No. 5 IMCA Modified, Jeff Taylor visited Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.). With a third-place finish in his heat race at his home track lining him up seventh on the starting grid for the main event, Jeff marched through the field to capture his third win of the season.
John Waugh, Brandon Smith, Wendell Wallace, and Joe Payne rounded out the Top 5.
On Saturday evening the team traveled north to Missouri’s Legit Speedway for another IMCA Modified program. Taylor won his heat race from the sixth-starting spot, which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the feature. He wasted little time in the feature, working his way forward, en route to his second win of the weekend and fourth of the year.
Sawyer Crigler, Joe Payne, Shane Kelley, and Coy Flippin completed the Top-5 finishers.
