Cory Hedgecock visits Volusia for Sunshine Nationals
With Thursday’s scheduled opener eliminated by wet weather, Cory Hedgecock was one of 69 Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series amassed at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Friday for the second of the Sunshine Nationals.
Starting his preliminary feature in ninth via his qualifying effort, Hedgecock jumped up two spots in the 20-lap affair to finish seventh.
His weekend came to a disappointing end in Saturday’s $10,000-to-win finale with a 29th-place outing in the 30-lapper.
