Theiss rolls to third triumph of season at Devil's Bowl Speedway
Austin Theiss traveled to Boyd Raceway (Boyd, Texas) on Friday afternoon to kick off a doubleheader weekend of action with the American Crate Late Model Series.
Drawing the pole position in his heat race, Theiss fell back two spots in his heat race and wasn't unable to recover in the 20-lap A-Main.
Switching gears to Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) on Saturday afternoon, Austin picked it up in his heat race and gained two positions to earn the pole position for the 20-lap main feature. With a $1,100 payday on the line, Theiss fell back to third on the initial start but rallied and took back the lead on lap 8. Dominating the remaining 12 laps, Austin crossed the line ahead of Jeffrey Abbey, and Donnie Shipp who completed the Top-3.
