Mitchell bags first win of 2022 at Ark-La-Tex Speedway

Saturday saw Jon Mitchell return to action at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) aboard his W&W Timber No. 5 Late Model. After starting the night off with a heat race victory, Mithcell improved one spot in the 20-lap feature to finish second. He followed Corey Neil Jr. across the line with David Winslett rounding out the podium. (Chaz Brzeski photo)

The following night, Jon’s second-place finish in his heat race placed him on the second row for the feature. Outrunning polesitter Chad Dupont, Mitchell captured his first win of the season and a $1,000 prize. Dupont, Darin Patrick, Austin Dupont, and Garrett Gibson completed the Top-5 finishers in the 20-lap affair.
