Johnny Scott follows World of Outlaws to Outagamie Speedway
Tuesday night saw Johnny Scott return with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Outagamie Speedway (Seymour, Wis.) for the FVP Platinum Batteries Showdown. After coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat, Scott edged his way into the A-Main with a fifth-place finish in his B-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Johnny ran a steady pace throughout the 40-lapper to finish 21st.
On Thursday afternoon, Johnny followed the World of Outlaws to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) to take part in the 34th annual USA Nationals weekend. Drawing 49 cars for the $6,000-to-win preliminary feature, Scott came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fourth-place finish.
After Mother Nature shifted his B-Main on Thursday to Friday afternoon, Johnny logged an eighth-place outing.
Later Friday evening for a pair of heat races, Scott came in eighth in his first heat before placing sixth in his second round. Sitting in 42nd overall in passing points, Johnny transferred into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals A-Main.
Slated to start near the tail, Johnny was a scratch from his 15-lap consolation event.
