Runner-up finish in MLRA Fall Nationals finale at Lucas Oil Speedway
A tripleheader swing with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) brought Stormy Scott to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday for the MLRA Fall Nationals.
After claiming the overall fast time honors in qualifying with a blistering 14.793-second lap, Scott raced into Thursday’s opener with a runner-up heat finish. Chasing a $5,000 preliminary payday, Stormy inched forward one spot to finish fourth.
On Friday, Stormy followed up a heat race victory with a seventh-place outing in the 30-lap feature.
Scott’s weekend concluded on Saturday with a runner-up showing in the $10,000-to-win MLRA Fall Nationals finale. He joined race-winner Ryan Gustin and Tony Jackson Jr. on the podium.
