BAGS FOR BAND-AIDS CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT
Indianapolis, IN – The Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial race at Lucas Oil Speedway has many exciting aspects for fans and drivers alike. The WAR Sprint Car Series has partnered with the Hockett family and Lucas Oil Speedway to add a special event to the schedule.
The inaugural Bags for Band-Aids Cornhole Tournament will be held Saturday, September 24, behind the backstretch grandstands. Check-in time will be 11:30 a.m. with competition starting at noon. Competitors can also sign up in advance, on Thursday and Friday night, at the JH/DM merchandise tent at the top of the front stretch grandstands.
ASCS and WAR drivers who aren’t playing in the tournament will join the fun at noon for a meet and greet/autograph session set up next to the games. Bobbie Nichols will have hero cards available for autographs, as well as the silent auction items set up for bidding and viewing on the other end of the games area.
Competitors will pay $5.00 plus a box of colorful band-aids or $10.00 to check-in. Partners will be drawn at random. Players who prefer to pick a partner instead of drawing will pay $25 per player ($50 per team). All proceeds benefit Noah’s Bandage Project/Children’s Cancer Research. Prizes and a Jesse Hockett Hard Charger Award will be presented at the conclusion of the tournament.

WAR would also like to request that any fans who have a set of cornhole boards and bags of their own to please bring them to the games on Saturday morning to help the tournament move quickly. Four sets of boards are currently committed to the cause, but more boards would help the event out.
