Satterlee Attends DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia

On Monday night Gregg Satterlee headed to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) for the 49th annual DIRTcar Nationals. In a field of 44 DIRTcar Late Models, Satterlee recorded an 8th place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Sending the Top 5, Gregg was one of five cars that scratched from the 10-lapper.

Returning on Tuesday for another $7,000-to-win A-Main, Gregg recorded the seventh fastest lap in his time trial group before placing 8th in his heat. Needing to place 2nd finish or better in his B-Main, Satterlee recorded an 8th place outing.

For the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned contest on Wednesday, Satterlee came in 7th in his heat, sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 3 into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Gregg fell one spot short with a 4th place finish.

On Thursday night, Gregg followed up the 12th fastest time in his qualifying group with the 3rd and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Satterlee was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on lap 23.

After sitting out Friday night’s program due to rough track conditions, Satterlee fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race on Saturday evening with a 5th place finish. Coming in 2nd in his B-Main behind Cade Dillard, Gregg locked into the 20th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale. He was an early exit from the 50-lap affair on lap 26.
