Gregg Satterlee attends Eldora Speedway for Million and Dream

With the 124-car field divided into two groups for a pair of $12,000-to-win preliminary features, Satterlee followed up the 15th-fastest time in his group with a heat race victory. Starting the prelim in second, Gregg grabbed the lead on the opening lap and led the opening seven circuits until Jonathan Davenport stole top spot on a lap-eight restart. He shredded a tire with two laps remaining while running in third that dropped him to 19th when the checkered flag flew.
Later that night for heat races leading up to the Eldora Million, Satterlee secured his spot into the $1,002,022-to-win main event with a runner-up finish behind Hudson O'Neal. Rolling off 12th, Gregg salvaged a 17th-place outing in the 101-lap affair after blowing a left-rear tire on lap 87.
On Friday as the 28th annual Dirt Late Model Dream got underway with a pair of prelims, polesitter Satterlee was squeezed into a scramble on the start that dropped him to 13th. Needing to place third or better in his B-Main to make the preliminary feature, Gregg passed 10 cars but missed a transfer spot by two positions with a fifth-place finish.
For the Dirt Late Model Dream finale on Saturday, Gregg locked his spot into the $128,000-to-win A-Main with a ninth-to-third run in his heat. Starting in 16th, Satterlee was up to 10th when rained rolled in on lap 14 and postponed the remainder 100-lapper to September 7th.
