Top-5 finish in Firecracker 100 prelim at Lernerville Speedway
Gregg Satterlee invaded Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) over the weekend to compete in the 18th annual Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel aboard his Satterlee Motorsports No. 22 Late Model.
With the massive field of 53 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries split into groups for prelims on Thursday and Friday, Satterlee got off to a strong start in Thursday’s opener before retiring on lap 20 of his preliminary while running second.
On Friday, Gregg followed up a fourth-place finish in his heat race with an 11th-to-4th run in his 25-lap prelim. He chased Drake Troutman, Ross Robinson, Tim McCreadie, and Garrett Alberson across the line.
For Saturday’s finale, Satterlee stormed into the $50,000-to-win Firecracker 100 with a fourth-to-second heat showing. Lined up on the sixth row for the main event, Gregg clawed forward one spot in the 100-lap affair to finish 10th.
