Gregg Satterlee Adds Seventh Win of 2024 at Hagerstown Speedway
Castrol FloRacing Night in America at Lernerville Speedway Up Next
INDIANA, Pa. (08/12/24) – Gregg Satterlee claimed his seventh win of the season over the weekend with a flag-to-flag triumph in Saturday’s Nathan Durboraw and Ronnie McBee Tribute at Hagerstown Speedway aboard Satterlee Motorsports No. 22 Keyser Manufacturing / Classic Ink / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.
The $4,400 victory marked Satterlee’s second win of the year at the half-mile Maryland oval.
“I was able to pick them off pretty good and it seemed like we were in traffic all night," Satterlee said, "but we had a really good car and I was able to put it where I needed to. Big thanks to all my sponsors, my crew, and my family for everyone’s help and support.”
Satterlee’s doubleheader weekend kicked off on Friday with a visit to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the Jay's Automotive United Late Model Series-sanctioned Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial.
Against a field of 22 Super Late Model competitors, Satterlee followed up the third-fastest lap in qualifying with a heat race triumph. Gunning for the $4,500 top prize in Friday’s opener, Gregg climbed three positions to register a second-place finish. He chased race-long pacesetter Michael Norris to the checkers with Levi Yetter joining the podium.
For the Nathan Durboraw and Ronnie McBee Tribute on Saturday evening at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway, Gregg bested a field of 29 cars in time trials with a blistering 17.925-second lap before placing first in his heat. Lined up on the front row for the feature via his dash finish, Satterlee stormed to the point on the drop of the green flag and never let go, soaring to a dominating flag-to-flag victory. He notched his seventh win of the 2024 campaign ahead of Trever Feathers, Rick Eckert, Justin Weaver, and Kyle Lee.
He earned a $4,400 payday for his efforts.
