Podium finish with World of Outlaws at Thunder Mountain

Following the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to the Keystone State, Ashton Winger traveled to Thunder Mountain Speedway (Knox Dale, Pa.) on Friday night for the two-day Thunderfest. In a field of 37 cars, Winger laid down the seventh fastest time in his qualifying group before placing third in his heat. For another $10,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Ashton fell one spot short of a transfer spot in his heat with a fifth place finish. Coming in second in his B-Main behind Jason Covert, Winger earned the 19th-starting position for the finale. Wheeling his way into a podium spot, Ashton Winger charged forward 16 positions to register a third place finish behind Brandon Sheppard and Jared Miley with Michael Norris and Dennis Erb Jr. rounding out the Top-5.

Ashton is currently seventh in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
