For the final round of the inaugural Battle at the Border on Sunday, Winger came in seventh fastest in his qualifying group before placing 2nd in his heat behind Billy Moyer Jr. Starting the $15,000-to-win finale in eighth, Ashton had climbed into the Top-5 but caught behind another competitor lodged on the wall on lap 16 that caused severe damage to the right side of his car.
