Fourth-place finish in second round of Florida Dirt Nationals
On Friday afternoon, Gambler Transport Motorsports and Ashton Winger visited All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the two-day Florida Dirt Nationals. In a field of 38 XR Super Series entries, Winger dropped one spot in his heat race to finish third. With $25,000 on the line in the feature, Ashton moved up two spots to cross the line in 10th. For the $50,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Ashton failed to record a lap in time trials but passed seven cars in his heat race to finish third. Earning the ninth-starting position for the feature, Winger advanced forward five spots in the 50-lapper to place fourth. He trailed Jonathan Davenport, Kyle Strickler, and Brandon Overton the checkers with Shane Clanton coming in fifth.
