Runner-up finish in Jimmy Thomas Memorial at EAMS

With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) doubleheader weekend axed by Mother Nature, Ashton Winger made his lone start of the weekend on Saturday at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event. With preliminary results lining him up on the eighth-row for the $10,053-to-win A-Main, Winger weaved through the field 13 spots in the 53-lapper to finish second. He trailed Brandon Overton to the checkers with Michael Page rounding out the podium.
