Ashton Winger follows LOLMDS to Iowa

With a fourth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the fifth row for the feature, Ashton was an early retiree with 10 circuits remaining.
Back in action on Friday evening at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa), Winger edged his way into the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Truck Country 50 A-Main with a sixth-place finish in his heat. With $12,000 on the line, Winger recorded a 14th-place finish in the 50-lapper.
On Sunday afternoon at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) for the CRST Transportation Solution 50 after Mother Nature pushed the event back a day, Ashton’s sixth-place finish in his heat relegated him into the 18th-starting position for the $15,000-to-win finale. Inching forward three spots in the 50-lap affair, Winger logged a 15th-place outing.
