Lance Schill opens 2021 season with Wild West Shootout

Lance kicked off his 2021 racing season by making his usual trek to the desert to attend the Wild West Shootout at the Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Arizona. The 6-race mini-series launched on Saturday, January 9th and Lance showed speed right out of the box, racing from 11th up to a battle for second in his heat race, but unfortunately, he was involved in a crash, ending his heat and putting him behind the eight ball for the night. He rolled off 13th in the b-main and ended up pulling off in that event to save his equipment for the remainder of the week.

Sunday, he was again quick right off the start by winning his heat race easily from his 3rd starting spot and then racing inside the top ten during the entire feature event, racing inside the top five for most of it, eventually settling for 8th when the checkered flew.

The team will be back in action Wednesday night for round #3.
