DRP BANDITS A-MAIN TO JAMES JUNGET

Wisconsin Dells WI 8/27/22-James Junget scores a big win on Fan Appreciation Night at Dells Raceway Park. Stephanie Wilson and Chris Moore brought a strong field of Doug’s Northside Auto UMA Bandits to the green flag Saturday night. Stephanie Wilson would pop out to the early advantage and start to pull away. The Five Star Concrete and Excavating Lane Choice Barrel would get a workout during this feature as it was plagued by multiple multi car wrecks one of which collected current Championship Points leader Conrad Rothenburger through the multiple restarts Wilson would hang tough and look strong. Veteran Jim Lapp would challenge the rookie on one of the later restart cones and gain the advantage with few laps remaining. James Junget would be a strong challenge to Lapp as the laps drew to a close. The duo would battle to the final flag as Junget came out on top with a helpful push to the line from Jordan Hoffman who not only pushed Junget to victory but himself into a second place finish. Lapp would finish third followed by Brandon Junget and Ron “Wilber” Meyers. Josh Mazur would Claim the Doug’s Northside Auto Fast Dash as Rick Bolton would score a heat race win. The UMA Bandits have one more point’s night remaining, September 10 is Championship Night with double points. Conrad Rothenburger holds a slim 13 point lead over Brandon Junget. The top 7 in points are still very much in the fight so Championship night should be a great show! Hope to see you there!
