SUMMERTOWN, TN – Zack Mitchell of Enoree, SC charged to the front of the pack from his eighth starting spot to take the lead from polesitter Camaron Marlin of Winfield, TN on lap 22 and went on to take the $15,000 top prize in the 3rd Annual Mark Fields Memorial 50 on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway for the Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series. The win was the second HTF win for Mitchell in the 2024 season.

“When the race started, I just kept picking them off,” Mitchell said. “This car was on a rail tonight, and one of the best race cars I’ve ever driven. We had the right set up tonight, and the hard work of the crew paid off with a win.”

Ashton Winger of Hampton, GA finished second, and HTF point leader Brandon Overton of Evans, GA started 20th and finished third to earn the MD3 Hard Charger of the Race Award. Overton cut a tire coming out for his qualifying run, started last in a heat race, and transferred to the main event through a Last Chance Qualifying race.

Shane Clanton of Zebulon, GA was eighth and Joseph Joiner of Milton, FL came from the 23rd starting spot to finish ninth. The defending HTF National Champion Josh Putnam of Florence, AL rounded out the top ten.

In preliminary action, Scott was the My Race Pass Fast Qualifier with a lap around Thunderhill Raceway in 12.366 seconds.

The four eight lap Heat Races were won by Scott in the Quicksilver Engines First Heat, Hanger in the Earnhardt Technology Group Second Heat, Marlar in the MD3 Third Heat, and Stormy Scott of Las Cruces, NM in the Minon Construction Fourth Heat.

The two ten-lap Last Chance Qualifying Races were won by Grayson Brewer of Lawrenceburg, TN in the Augusta Aquatics First LCQ, and Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, TN in the Hoosier Racing Tire Second LCQ.
