ASCS Warrior and Sooner At Monett and Lucas Oil Speedway This Weekend

Bryan Hulbert – WHEATLAND, Mo. (May 9, 2022) Going for a weekend double in Missouri, the ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps will take on the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products at Monett Motor Speedway (Monett, Mo.) on Friday, May 13 and Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Saturday, May 14. Both events are $2,000 to win and $300 to start.

Last on track at the Monett Motor Speedway on July 4, 2021, the night’s battle went to Jeremy Campbell, who led from start to finish.

Looking at Lucas Oil Speedway, Saturday is the 11th edition of the Impact Signs, Awnings & Wraps Open Wheel Showdown at the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks.” The 2021 edition saw a 27-car field topped by Oklahoma’s Ryan Timms. Hatched in 2012, Randy Martin took the inaugural win. Since then, there have been eighth events contested, with Brandon Hanks emerging as the only repeat winner in 2016 and 2019. Other winners include Randy Hibbs (2014), Jonathan Cornell (2015), Brad Loyet (2017), and Logan Seavey (2018). The 2013 event was lost to rain, while 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic.

Friday, May 13 at Monett Motor Speedway will open at 2:00 P.M. for teams to enter the Pits. Grandstands open at 6:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:30 P.M. and Racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for Adults, $10 for Senior, Veterans, and Youth (7-17), and free for Kids six and under. Pits are $40. The

Friday showdown also includes POWRi Pure Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, and B-Mods. Monett Motor Speedway is located at 685 Chapell Dr. in Monett, Mo. For more information, log onto http://monettmotorspeedway.myracepass.com or call (417) 402-9079.

For Saturday, May 14, at Lucas Oil Speedway, tickets are $25 for Adults, $22 for Seniors (62+), $10 for Youth (6-15), and free for Kids five and under. Family Pass is $60. Pits are $40. Other featured classes include the POWRi Lucas Oil Wingless Auto Racing League and the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League.
