Hunt The Front Invades National 100
The Hunt The Front Team rolled into East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday to begin their defense of the event title. In Super Late Model competition 25 entries were on hand, and Joseph qualified third fastest before finishing second in his heat race to lock into the fourth-starting spot for Sunday’s $20,000-to-win finale.
Jesse Enterkin set his sights on the Sportsman division, but would find himself behind the eight ball to start the weekend with fuel pressure issues in Saturday’s qualifying. As a result, he started eighth before finishing fifth in Sunday’s b-main. With only the Top-2 finishers moving onto the feature his weekend came to an early end.
In Sunday’s Super Late Model main event, Joseph pitted early from the Top 5 with a flat tire. He rejoined the tail of the pack and charged back to ninth, only to get caught up in someone else’s poor decision. Joiner went to the back again and rebounded to 10th before the track took rubber.
