Henderson notches Top-5 finish in No. 17 at Talladega

On Saturday afternoon, Matt Henderson made his first start of the season aboard the CVR Race Cars No. 17 Late Model as he teamed up with NASCAR Cup Series 2020 champion Chase Elliott. With his time trial effort placing him on the second row for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Matt faded two spots in the 40-lapper to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Jake Rainey, Logan Palmer, Tanner Collins, and Jimmy Thomas to the checkers.

Elliott followed up the third-fastest time in his group with a 10th-place finish in the feature.
