John Duty charges to second-place finish at Williamette

Justin Duty got an early start to his race week with a visit to Shadyhill Speedway (Medaryville, Ind.) for the 20th round of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.

Earning the 16th-starting position for the feature via the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat, Justin was credited with a 20th-place finish after retiring on the third circuit.

On Saturday, Justin visited Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) while his dad entered weekly action at Willamette Speedway (Cottage Grove, Ore.). Justin followed up a fourth-place finish in his heat with a 12th-place showing in the feature. John raced from the eighth row in his 40-lap feature, passing 14 cars to reel in an impressive second-place finish.
