Stormy followed up the fourth-fastest time in his group with a second-place finish in his heat while Johnny ran into lingering mechanical issues that prevented him from making the main event. With $12,000 on the line, Stormy recorded an eighth-place finish.

On Friday evening for two rounds of heat races, Stormy failed to qualify for Saturday’s finale via passing points, relegating him into the B-Main.

Stormy missed a transfer spot into the $53,000-to-win A-Main by one car with a fourth-place finish in his consolation event while Johnny was one of 16 cars locked into the show via Friday’s heat races.

With Mother Nature postponing the 80-lapper to Sunday, Johnny was an early retiree with 20 circuits remaining.

Johnny also piloted a IMCA Modified owned by Jacob Hodscheidt on Friday and Sunday but fell out of Sunday’s finale on lap 11. He scored a third-place finish in Friday’s feature.
