Kyle Hammer pilots Matt Santel-owned Late Model in PDC

Drawing a stout field of 81 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries, Hammer got off to a slow start in time trials but had an impressive showing in his $3,000-to-win preliminary feature. Starting in 17th, Hammer charged forward 11 spots in the 25-lapper to register a sixth-place finish.

Missing a transfer spot into Saturday’s finale in his prelim on Friday, Hammer transferred into one of three consolation races for another shot at the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic. Needing to place second or better, Kyle slipped back to a sixth-place outing.
