Willard Follows Speedweeks to East Bay

For his second stop on his Florida Speedweeks journey, Brennon Willard traveled to East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) on Monday afternoon for the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals. In a stout field of 76 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Brennon posted a 12th place finish in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main. Locking the Top 2 into the opening night feature, Willard logged a 16th-place finish.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Willard came in 11th in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place second or better, Brennon posted a 14th-place outing.

On Wednesday night, Brennon was a scratch from his heat race, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Locking in the Top 2, Willard fell short with a 14th-place finish.

In a field of 78 cars on Thursday, Willard fell short of a transfer position in his heat, sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 2 into the show, Brennon logged a 10th-place outing.

For the fifth round of the Wrisco Winternationals on Friday evening, Brennon followed up the 30th fastest time in his qualifying group with an eighth place finish in his heat. With the Top 2 finishers from his B-Main make the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Willard came in seventh.

Wrapping up the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday, Willard posted an 11th place outing in his B-Main, giving him one final shot at the $15,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Transferring the Top 2, Brennon slipped back to an 11th-place finish.
