Shirley visits Cedar Lake Speedway for USA Nationals weekend

Drawing 46 cars, Brian followed up a fifth-place outing in his heat with a runner-up finish in his B-Main. With $6,000 on the line in the feature, Shirley gained eight spots in the 30-lapper to register an 11th-place finish.

With passing points from pair of heat races on Friday setting the grid for Saturday’s main event, Shirley posted a fourth and fifth-place finish, relegating him into a B-Main on Saturday.

Slated to start deep in the field for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals finale, Brian was a scratch from his 15-lap consolation race.
