Eighth-place finish in North-South 100 at Florence Speedway

After topping the 55-car field in time trials to claim the Allstar Performance Fast Time Award along with a $2,034 payday, wet weather moved in and cancelled the remainder of Thursday’s prelim.
The following night, Ferguson locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature with a third-place finish in his heat. Slated to start in eighth, Chris pulled out his secondary car and was forced to start the tail where he charged to finish 14th.
On Saturday afternoon, Chris recorded a fifth-to-third run in his heat, which positioned him on the eighth row for the $75,000-to-win North-South 100. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Ferguson passed seven cars in the 100-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.
