11th-place finish in North-South prelim at Florence Speedway

Shortly after taking part in his hot lap session and qualifying, a threatening storm moved in and forced officials it cancel the remainder of Thursday’s program.

On Friday, Kent laid down the sixth-fastest time in his group before placing fourth in his heat. Clawing forward one spot in his 25-lap preliminary feature, Robinson scored an 11th-place finish.

For the finale on Saturday, Robinson followed up a fourth-place finish in his heat with a runner-up performance in his B-Main. Earning the 21st-starting position for the $75,000-to-win North-South 100, Kent was credited with a 22nd-place outing after pulling in on lap 41.
