Mason Oberkramer records a trio of Top-5 finishes over Labor Day weekend

After missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat race, Oberkramer secured his spot into opening night feature with a consolation victory. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Mason passed 12 cars in the 30-lap feature to register a fifth-place finish.

Joining the Lucas Oil LateModel Midwest Racing Association (MLRA) for the remainder of the weekend, Mason traveled to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Saturday for the Ron Jenkins Memorial. With a second-place finish in his heat lining him up sixth on the starting grid for the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Oberkramer gained five spots in the 25-lap affair to register a second-place finish. He followed Tony Jackson Jr. across the line with Logan Martin rounding out the podium.

For the second annual Wiener Nationals on Sunday at Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Mo.), Oberkramer followed up a second-place showing in his heat race with a fifth-place outing in the 30-lap feature. He trailed Tony Jackson Jr., Billy Moyer Jr., Chad Simpson, and Aaron Marrant to the checkers.
