Stormy scores a pair of Top-10 Lucas MLRA finishes
Friday night found Stormy Scott in action at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kan.) kicking off a doubleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil LateModel Midwest Racing Association (MLRA). (Todd Boyd photos)
Drawing 21 Late Models for the Clyde Ellis Memorial, Scott timed in 14th-fastest before recording a fifth-to-third run in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Stormy dropped one spot in the 30-lapper to finish seventh.
On Saturday evening at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.), Stormy secured his spot into the $7,000-to-win Ron Jenkins Memorial A-Main with a consolation victory after placing fifth in his heat. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Scott advanced forward 11 positions to finish sixth.
