Stevens Embarks on Three-Race Weekend at The Mag

Tyler Stevens traveled south to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) on Thursday, where the first leg of a three-race swing came to life.

The opening night's program was headlined by a $3,000-to-win COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model program, which was delayed by wet weather from September 4.

Tyler started his night with the fifth-fastest time in his group in qualifications, but after slipping from third to fifth in his heat race he was relegated to a B-Main, which he won.

Starting 17th on the feature grid for the 30-lap main event he climbed five spots to finish 12th.

On Friday night an unsanctioned $4,000-to-win program was held, and a sixth-place finish lined up Stevens up fourth in a B-Main, which he won to lock into the 17th-starting spot for the feature.

Advancing four positions, Tyler crossed the finish line in 13th in the night's feature.

The weekend drew to a close with a $12,000-to-win finale on Saturday night. Tyler qualified fifth in his group in time trials before advancing to a runner-up finish in heat race action earn the fifth-starting spot for the feature.

The team had high hopes for the feature, but unfortunately a broken, rear-end in the feature sidelined Stevens to an 18th-place finish.
