Howard Moore Enters Hockett/McMillin Memorial

Howard Moore embarked on the 2022 edition of the Hockett/McMillin Memorial on Thursday night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.). A star-studded field of 78 Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) competitors entered the event, and Howard found himself behind the eight-ball early in the night with the seventh-fastest time in his qualifying group, which pinned him seventh on the starting grid for a heat race.

After advancing a single position in the heat race he was relegated to a B-Main, where his night came to an early end in the eighth position.

On Friday night, Howard edged into the night's feature with a heat race win. Starting 13th, Moore slipped back in the running order before retiring to a 20th-place finish five laps left.

On Saturday night the three-day extravaganza drew to a close and with a B-Main victory, Howard edged his way into the main event.

Starting 19th on the feature grid, Moore advanced a few spots early in the 40-lap feature before retiring to a 24th-place finish.
