Ross Bailes records seventh-place finish in Tar Heel 53; eighth at TST

In a field of 35 cars, Bailes followed up the eighth-fastest time in his group with a fourth-to-second run in his heat. Starting the $22,022-to-win A-Main in eighth, Ross gained one spot in the 53-lap affair to register a seventh-place finish.
Joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday, Ross trekked to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) where he raced from seventh-to-fourth in his heat race. With $15,000 on the line in the feature, Bailes advanced forward six positions in the 50-lapper to place eighth.
