Shirley competes in Peach State Classic at Senoia Raceway
Brian Shirley returned to action on Friday afternoon with a visit to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) for the second annual Peach State Classic.
Drawing 52 Late Models for the doubleheader weekend with the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries, Brian followed up a fifth-place outing in his heat with a third-to-first run in his B-Main. With recent rain showers making for rough track conditions, Shirley retired on lap 25 of Friday's preliminary feature.
The following night, Shirley came in sixth in his heat before grabbing the second-and-final transfer spot in his consolation event. Starting the 53,053-to-win Peach State Classic finale in 19th, Brian was an early retiree from the 75-affair on lap 28.
