Fifth-place finish in Blue Gray 100 at Cherokee
On Sunday afternoon, Trent Ivey was one of 27 Late Models entered into the annual Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series-sanctioned Blue Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.).
Ivey qualified fifth-quickest before moving up one spot in his heat race to win. With a heat victory positioning him to start on the outside of the front row, Ivey settled in the third spot before having to pit for a flat tire with 30 laps to go. Trent restarted in the 16th-position and plowed his way through the field in the remaining 30 laps to finish fifth at the checkered flag.
