Mills records Top-5's at Swainsboro in rescheduled Turkey 100
After getting rained out the previous weekend, Trey Mills visited Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) for the rescheduled Turkey 100 and entered both his 604 and 602 Late Model into competition.
Starting off the double-duty weekend, Mills was the fastest qualifier out of 20 602 Late Models and went on to finish third in Friday's feature. After going second-quick in 604 Late Model qualifying, Mills finished second behind John Ruggiero Jr. in the $3,500 main event.
For the $7,500-to-win 604 payday on Saturday, Mills qualified third-quickest in his group before slipping back two spots in the 50-lap feature to finish fifth. In his 602 Late Model, Mills started the $3,000-to-win feature from the second row and placed fourth when the checkers flew.
