Ivey rallies to eighth-place finish at Cherokee Speedway
Treny Ivey entered his Ivey Septic Service No. 88 Late Model into Southern All Star Series action at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the $20,000-to-win Ginger Owens Memorial March Madness event.
With 27 entries signed in, Ivey clicked off the fourth-quickest lap in his group before picking up a strong heat race win. Rolling off from the second row in the 50-lap feature, Trent faded back early but fought back before the checkered flag to finish inside the Top-10 in eighth.
