Martin lands Top-5 finish in Spring Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway
With Mother Nature derailing his original plans, Logan Martin traveled to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the two-day event to kick off the season for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA).
For the first round of MLRA Spring Nationals on Friday, Martin recorded a eighth-place finish in his heat before mountain a 7th-to-2nd charge in his B-Main to transfer to the $5,000-to-win feature. For the 40-lap main event, Logan gained six positions on his way to a 13th-place finish.
With 50 Late Models signed in for Saturday's finale, Logan raced to a heat race victory which earned him a fifth-place starting position in the A-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Martin drove up to fourth-place before settling for a fifth-place finish in the 50-lap feature.
