Bailes lands podium finish at Buckshot with Spring Nationals
Ross Bailes traveled to Buckshot Speedway (Clanton, Ala.) to compete with the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals on Friday afternoon for the first of two events on the weekend for the series.
With 32 Late Models entered, Ross qualified third-fastest in his group which locked him into the 40-lap main event. Rolling off from the fifth-place starting position, Bailes wheeled his way into the Top-3 for a third-place podium finish.
Following the series to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday, Bailes qualified seventh-quickest before recording a third-place finish in his heat. For the $10,053-to-win main event, Ross ran inside the Top-5 before pulling up lame with 12 laps to go. Ross was scored 15th in the final rundown.
