Briar tallies top-five finish at Deep South Speedway

Saturday saw Briar Cheatham return to the driver’s seat of his D&H Sand Inc. No. 87 Street Stock at Deep South Speedway (Loxley, Ala.) for the tracks opening weekend.

With a fourth-place finish in his heat race placing him on the fourth row for the feature, Cheatham clawed forward two positons in the 15-lapper to finish fifth. He chased Mike Lane, Calvin Martin, Chris Dixon, and Sunny Gilmore to the checkers.
